Born from trees scattered throughout the world comes a new treasure, ~Bosco~
"Bosco" is the Italian word for "Forest." Our design here references that of a forest, for just as a forest plays host to a great variety of different species of trees, these chairs have been made of wood from over 200 different types of trees. Within this number lie some rare types of wood which are exceptionally difficult to obtain.

The high back of this chair is striking and unique, with a high back which gently curves and stretches to the top. This gives the chair real personality and a crisp appearance.
We should not, however, fail to mention our carefully chosen materials. The seat back is fashioned from squared timber with a 70mm x 200mm profile, dried naturally for over five years, and featuring a charming machined wood grain. Truly, this is nothing short of sculpture. From a materials standpoint, this is truly an extravagant creation, taking full advantage of the emotions that wooden construction can elicit.

Best of all, and perhaps most surprisingly of all, is the use of over 200 types of trees. Try to imagine chairs made from 200 types of wood all standing in a row.
We have selected a few of those over 200 materials, and are proud to offer solid wood Bosco chairs built from our chosen few. Orders for chairs using materials other than solid wood are also welcome.
Persimmon wood, ebony, and other exceptionally rare species of trees are available, giving everyone the chance to make a one-of-a-kindBOSCO.
To date, over 200 BOSCO chairs have been made from 180 types of wood. In 2010, BOSCO held an exhibition at the National Museum in Tokyo.
BOSCO has become a topic of conversation among such professionals as architects, foresters, and designers.
While the seat looks flat at first glance, the use of bowl-shaped molded plywood ensures comfort and cushioning.
The back of the chair is made through the machining of solid wood. It features a gentle shape that molds itself to its owner's posture. Also, the grain of the wood does an excellent job of putting forth the feelings of the trees that went into its construction.
Within the 115cm length, the grain changes from an slash grain to an edge grain, providing the uniqueness that one expects from each one-of-a-kind chair.
7cm thick, 20cm wide, and 120cm long. BOSCO's construction does not allow for a shred of material to be wasted.
The carefully-selected materials that go into making the luxurious BOSCO are what give it such charm.
